OLD OR DIRTY HOT TUB FILTERS ARE THE #1 REASON FOR SERVICE CALLS.

SpaFilters.com recommends that you change your spa filters at least one time a year! New hot tub filters protect your health AND your pocketbook. The spa filter is like changing the oil in your car, the whole equipment system depends on getting clean water flowing to it. If the hot tub equipment is not getting enough flow caused by old filters it will cause a number of repair issues. Old and dirty filters are the number one issue found on all hot tub service calls. Dirty hot tub filters can even void your warranty. So, it pays to check your spa filter once or twice monthly.

If your spa filter or hot tub filters are more than two years old, please toss them no matter how they may look. This is because your hot tub filter is made of a fibrous material that gradually loosens over time creating ever-larger spaces for particles to push through and gunk up your pump. It pays to be ruthless on this one. Hot tub pumps are way more expensive than spa filters.

This method will most likely lead to multiple results from which you can compare filters.
